Injectables Post-Treatment Instructions
Thank you for trusting us with your treatment! Following these guidelines will help minimize swelling, bruising, and any risk of complications while ensuring the best possible outcome.
Neurotoxins
Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Letybo, Jeuveau
Immediate Care for Swelling: Apply a cool compress gently as needed right after treatment to reduce swelling. If swelling persists beyond 3 days, please contact us at (480) 299-4975.
No Touching the Treated Area: Avoid touching the injection sites for at least 12–24 hours. This includes hands, pillows, phones, makeup, chapstick, or lipstick. Makeup applicators and used lip products can introduce bacteria, increasing infection risk. We’ll provide you with a brand-new chapstick for use after the initial period.
Gentle Cleansing: After 12–24 hours, you may gently wash your face with mild soap and water. Always cleanse in an upward and outward motion to avoid displacing the product downward, which could contribute to issues like eyelid droop (ptosis).
Activity Restrictions: Avoid alcohol and any exercise for at least 6 hours. Skip heavy exercise, yoga, hot showers, saunas, jacuzzis, and pools for the first 24–48 hours.
Avoid Pressure or Manipulation: For 2 weeks following treatment, refrain from facials, massages, tight or loose hats/masks, heavy exfoliation, or any excess pressure on the face. These can shift the product and affect your results.
Sun and Heat: Protect the treated area from direct sun or heat until any redness or swelling has fully subsided.
Lip FilleR
In addition to the neurotoxin instructions above.
Icing: Ice as much as possible during the first 24 hours. Alternate 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off when feasible. This is one of the most effective ways to manage swelling.
Lip Products: Avoid lipstick or chapstick for 48 hours unless it’s a brand-new, unused tube. Used products can harbor bacteria and raise infection risk.
Swelling Support: Over-the-counter Benadryl may help reduce swelling. Please consult your primary doctor first if you haven’t taken it before.
General Comfort: Stay hydrated, avoid salty foods and alcohol, and sleep with your head slightly elevated if possible.
Important Final NoteS
It is completely normal for results to take up to 2 full weeks to settle and reveal their final look. Please wait the entire 2 weeks before evaluating or considering a touch-up.
Mild redness, swelling, or small bumps at injection sites are common and typically resolve quickly.
