Sculptra Scottsdale

At Zona Med Spa in Scottsdale, one of the most popular treatments our patients love is Sculptra. Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that uses poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production.

By targeting areas of volume loss on your face like cheeks, temples, and jawline, Sculptra gradually restores fullness and smooths wrinkles. It’s a subtle and effective way to achieve a more youthful appearance with long-lasting results and minimal downtime. Our founder Michele Hunter has performed thousands of injections and will personally perform yours too.

In this guide we’re going to share its benefits, how it works, how much it costs, and answer some of the most frequently asked questions we hear about it…

Benefits of Sculptra

Sculptra offers a gradual and natural solution for a variety of signs of aging including…

  • Volume Loss: Restores fullness to sunken cheeks and temples for a lifted look.
  • Deep Wrinkles: Smooths nasolabial folds (smile lines) and marionette lines around the mouth.
  • Jawline Contouring: Enhances definition by adding subtle structure to the jaw and chin.
  • Hollow Eyes: Fills under-eye hollows to reduce a tired appearance.
  • Acne Scars: Improves texture and fills indented scars for smoother skin.
  • Hip Dips: Off-label use to add volume and curve to the hips for a more contoured body shape.
  • Cellulite Reduction: Helps smooth dimpled skin on thighs or buttocks.

Beyond all the aesthetic benefits our patients see in the mirror, Sculptra makes them feel naturally younger too. Our aesthetic philosophy is giving each patient subtle results that enhance their beauty without looking overdone.

How Sculptra Works

Michele Hunter performing an injectables injection in Scottsdale at Zona Med Spa

Sculptra is an FDA-approved biostimulatory injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which works by gradually rebuilding collagen to restore skin structure.

What sets us apart is our thorough consultation process. Michele meets with you to understand your unique goals. You’ll go through a list of which areas you want to focus on and she’ll recommend what approach is best. Each treatment is precise and personalized to give you the exact results you want.

The treatment is quick, from beginning to end it takes no more than 30-60 minutes. Many of our patients get their session done during errands or on their lunch break because it also has minimal downtime.

Results typically appear over 3-6 months as collagen builds, and fully settle after the series of treatments. Our patients love how such a simple process delivers such noticeable yet natural results.

Sculptra Cost

We receive many calls asking, “How many vials of Sculptra will I need for my cheeks or jawline?” This is up to your goals and Michele’s professional opinion on how to best achieve them. It largely depends on the degree of volume loss and the areas treated (some prefer a subtle refresh, while others want more dramatic restoration).

For exact pricing, we recommend booking a consultation with Michele to discuss your goals. This ensures your treatment plan aligns with your budget.

Pre & Post Care

To ensure the best Sculptra results, we recommend a few simple steps…

Before your appointment avoid caffeine, anti-inflammatory medications, and blood thinners (like aspirin or ibuprofen) for about a week to minimize bruising. Always consult your doctor before making any changes.

After treatment, massage the area as instructed (5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days) to ensure even distribution, and avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours.

It can take up to 3-6 months for full results to show. Side effects like mild swelling or bruising at the injection site are rare and typically fade quickly.

Michele will share personalized aftercare tips to maximize your results.
