About Botox and Dysport

Years of repetitive facial movements can leave small creases in the skin, even while resting. These lines and wrinkles can give the appearance of being tired, sad or angry without making any expressions. Small amounts of Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin placed strategically can temporarily relax the muscles and smooth unwanted wrinkles.

Untreated areas of the face remain unaffected. Side effects are rare and usually limited to the site of injection which includes mild redness, inflammation, and/or bruising. Headaches after injections are also common.⁣

Areas We Treat

Our expert Injectors at ZONA™️ are experienced with preventative and corrective treatments for lines and wrinkles, as well as other concerns Botox or Dysport may treat including:

• ⁣Vertical lines between the brows
• Horizontal lines on the forehead
• “Crows feet” or lines around the eyes
• “Bunny lines” or lines on the nose
• Platysmal bands or vertical lines visible on the neck
• Masseter muscle to soften look of square jaw or help with TMJ
• “Pebble chin” to soften the chin texture
• Around the mouth to curl the lip up, prevent a gummy smile, wrinkles around the mouth or the turning down at the corners of the mouth

The Treatment

Prior to your toxin treatment at ZONA™️ we ask that you try to avoid any caffeine, anti-inflammatory and blood thinning medications, if possible, to reduce your chance of bruising. Our Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are fairly quick appointments at ZONA Med Spa™️. This appointment time can take anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes. ⁣There is little to no downtime after this treatment but we do recommend avoiding exercise for the rest of the day and no tight fitting hats, facials or massages for two weeks. It can take two weeks for the product to fully kick in, we ask that you wait the full two weeks before coming back for a touch up.

We receive many calls asking how many units they will need. This is up to our Injectors professional opinion. It largely depends on how much wrinkle movement you have and how much movement you’d like to have after injections (for example some people like to have zero movement while others feel that it’s more natural to have a little movement). This chart shows the average number of units a person may need in each area. Please remember that the specified range of units needed per area in the chart is a generalization.
