Process of a PRP Facial:
A PRP Facial is a procedure in which the body’s own platelet rich plasma (PRP) is used to re-energize cells and boost collagen production. So basically, this treatment is specifically great for middle aged persons who want to revive their skin. The following is a step-by-step process to the treatment:
- Your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge – this allows the plasma and growth factors to separate
- PRP is applied topically to the skin
- A MICROPEN is then used to aerate the skin – which is when the skin is perforated with near microscopic holes to allow for the delivery of the PRP
- A second layer of PRP is applied allowing for maximum benefit
After the treatment, there is 2 to 3 days of downtime, however you will be pleased to notice the overall tone, texture and quality of your skin will greatly improve will just one treatment.
