Must-Have Products: For Healthy, Radiant Skin

As women, we are always on the hunt for the next miracle cream that will help us defy gravity. The war on anti-aging started long ago and we continue to fight every fine line and wrinkle. DEJ Eye Cream

In previous blogs I have touched on the importance of the Dermal-Epidermal Junction or DEJ. For lack of a long explanation, the DEJ is what holds the youthful structure to our skin. Revision Skincare has made a magnificent product called DEJ Eye Cream that I like to refer to as spanks for the eyes. This new pathway to younger-looking eyes is formulated with many key ingredients, most of which are hard to pronounce. Here are just a couple of key ingredients and the benefits they bring: Leontopodium Alpinium Meristem Cell Culture which is a scientific name for Edelweiss extract that is high in antioxidant content. This wonderful ingredient inhibits the breakdown of collagen and hyaluronic acid which naturally keeps the skin hydrated. Methyl Glucoside Phosphate Proline Lysine Copper Complex (say that 5 times fast) is a very long scientific terminology for an amino acid copper complex. This complex helps to provide energy to tired, aging cells that firms, energizes and re-densifies the skin while increasing elastin synthesis. To sum it all up, DEJ Eye Cream helps with fine lines, upper eyelid appearance, firmness, overall photodamage, tactile smoothness and elasticity!

DEJ Face Cream

Staying with the same importance of the Dermal-Epidermal Junction, this time for the face. This product is newer to the Revision Skincare line, formulated for the face after the DEJ Eye was such a great success! With common key ingredients in both DEJ Face and Eye creams, here are a couple more ingredients that make the DEJ Face Cream beneficial for the skin: Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (THD) or as most of us know it as Vitamin C. THD is the gold standard when it comes to Vitamin C used in products because it is PH neutral allowing the skin to fully absorb its benefits, unlike Ascorbic Acid. Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2 helps increase elastin synthesis to promote the correct assembly of elastin fibers which is the foundation of the DEJ. In layman’s terms, the DEJ Face Cream helps with clarity and brightness, reduction of redness, hyperpigmentation or brown spots, fine lines, wrinkles and the overall appearance of the skin.

Intellishade Anti-Aging Tinted Moisturizer SPF 45

All of the coverage, sun protection and daily moisture you need in one anti-aging product. I preach about this product to anyone and everyone who will listen. Intellishade comes in both original and matte for us oily skin folks. I personally have been using the matte formula for 5 years now and is the only sunscreen I can put on my face without it breaking me out. Besides the protection and moisturizing aspects, Intellishade uses a blend of three peptides to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. THD Ascorbate or Vitamin C is included in the ingredients list to brighten and provide antioxidant benefits. The matte formula has a proprietary form of Lecithin which is used to reduce the appearance of pore size. A tinted daily moisturizer that protects, corrects and minimizes my pores?! Nectifirm
