A Facial at ZONA Med Spa vs a Facial at Massage Envy:

I’ve personally had a facial from Massage Envy and ZONA Med Spa, and let me start off by saying that the differences are astounding. From what I’ve gathered, most people seem to believe that all facial treatments are the same or equal. However, this is not that case at all! In this week’s blog, I wanted to enlighten everyone on what they’re missing out on.

Facial at Massage Envy:

First, I was taken into the room with a cozy looking bed. They played typical spa music but there weren’t any aromas filling the air. I was briefly asked about my skin concerns, which is my redness and pores, and then she gave me a moment alone to get comfortable and under the covers. Upon coming back in, I was given a quick review of what she was going to do. This included; a basic cleanse, toning, steam and extractions, then moisturizing. I honestly can’t note feeling exceptionally relaxed during the facial; however this could be my own fault. At the end of the facial I looked in the mirror, and while my skin looked clean and refreshed, I realized I still had a fair amount of my blackheads . Don’t get me wrong, it was a perfectly fine treatment but once you’ve already had a facial at ZONA Med Spa, you start to have higher expectations.

ZONA Med Spa:

Similar to Massage Envy, I was taken into a room with a cozy looking bed. The air was filled with the scent of lavender. Not to mention, the intermetal versions of popular songs; so cool!  I was asked about my skin type, concerns, and was given an in-depth review of what she would be doing. During the hour long treatment I was informed that I will experience a deep cleansing followed by exfoliation, steam and extractions. Next began a relaxing decollate’, face and scalp massage which then preceded to a treatment mask with a hand and arm massage. Finishing up with a luxurious eye cream, moisturizer and sunscreen! And that was what I received! The facial was not just a simple cleanse and extract.  The deep clean, the removal of dead skin cells, and the facial masks all give me amazing healthy, beautiful, and glowing skin! Not to mention the bonus of the massage. I was damn near about to fall asleep the whole time!The real difference between a facial a Massage envy versus at ZONA Med Spa? Well, the massage at ZONA Med Spa is the most obvious difference. The other underlying difference was that ZONA Med Spa is customized to your individual skin care needs. They care about you and your skin, as opposite to being just another costumer. You should experience the difference for yourself! The crazy thing is, a facial at massage envy is $50, while ZONA Med Spa’s facial treatment is only $25 more. Trust me the small price bump is utterly and completely worth it!
